An institution built for the block it stands in.

Acharya Narendra Deo Kisan P.G. College was started in 1973 by the late Pt. Sukhpal Pandey, at a time when a student from this part of Gonda district who wanted a degree had to leave for the city to get one. Five decades later the same purpose still holds the campus together: higher education came to the block, instead of the block travelling for it.

The college teaches to the university syllabus across three undergraduate streams — B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com — and carries the same students onward into postgraduate study. Alongside them run the two professional courses that draw students from well beyond Babhnan: B.Ed for those who intend to teach, and B.P.Ed for those headed towards sport, coaching and physical-training posts. A student can begin in first year and finish a master’s degree without changing campus.

Affiliation is held with Maa Pateshwari (Devipatan) University, Balrampur and with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, depending on the course; the campus also carries study-centre activity for UPRTOU. A sister institution, Acharya Narendra Deo College of Pharmacy, stands on the same Babhnan campus footprint.

What a degree from here has always meant is unchanged — that the student was taught, tested, and known by name.

Teaching & Mentorship
“A degree is the certificate. Being taught, tested and known by name is the education.”

Class sizes in a block college are not an abstraction. A student who stops attending is noticed; a student struggling in a practical is spoken to. That is the whole method, and it has not needed rewriting since 1973.

The same faculty carry students from graduation into postgraduate study, which is why the PG years here read as a continuation rather than a fresh start. The B.Ed and B.P.Ed courses add a professional discipline on top of it — supervised practice, not only lectures.

The college is led by its Principal, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Shukla. Enquiries about a course, eligibility or fees are answered by the college office at Babhnan.

Admissions

Four steps, and the office will tell you where you stand at each one.

No agent, no middleman. Begin with an enquiry — in Hindi or in English — and the admission desk takes it from there.

  1. Step 01

    Send an enquiry

Message the college on WhatsApp or fill the short form alongside. Name the course you want — UG, PG, B.Ed or B.P.Ed — so the enquiry reaches the right desk.

  2. Step 02

    Eligibility and fees confirmed

The office confirms the marks and documents your course requires, and shares the fee structure notified for the current session.

  3. Step 03

    Registration and verification

Complete the session registration; the help desk sorts out any technical trouble on the spot. Bring your marksheets, transfer certificate and ID to the counter — originals are checked and returned the same visit.

  4. Step 04

    Fee submission, and classes begin

Pay the session fee at the office and collect the receipt. After that, timetable, exam dates, practical schedules and result notices reach you directly instead of on a notice board you have to travel to read.

Admission Enquiry

Thirty seconds. No documents needed yet.

Your number is used only to answer this enquiry.

Enquiry received.

This is how the admission desk would hear from a student — automatically, the moment they decide, even at ten at night.

And afterwards, the notices follow the student.

Fee due dates, examination and practical schedules, result announcements and degree-collection notices, delivered to every enrolled student automatically. No queue at the office; no missed date.
